History of Keen Team

Prequel

In 1989, in Lviv, Ukraine, two babies in strollers ran into each other in the courtyard of a five-story building. Their moms immediately hit it off, thinking their sons would become friends, too. The boys grew up together, exploring everything around them, sharing their dreams, and planning how to change the world.

Founded Keenethics as a Meteor.js-focused company

Keenethics was founded as a software development company specializing in Meteor.js, a cutting-edge JavaScript framework that was one of the first to combine front and back-end development. The founders recognized the potential of this agile technology to create modern, efficient, and scalable web applications, leveraging the latest trends for innovation and success.

Hired the first developer

We confidently launched our growth journey by hiring our first developer. This pivotal decision laid the foundation for a dedicated, skilled team to transform Keenethics into a trusted tech partner.

Started organising and hosting the open-source hackathon Hacktoberfest in Lviv

We proudly supported the local tech community by organizing Hacktoberfest in Lviv. This event invited people to collaborate on technology projects anyone could access and use.

Founded our social and corporate responsibility project "Let’s Get Kids Moving"

In line with our commitment to corporate social responsibility, we have launched the initiative “Let Kids Move.” This project aims to address children’s sedentary habits by encouraging participation in physical activities and promoting a more active lifestyle through various programs and events.

Implemented a mental health program for employees

We prioritize our employees’ well-being by launching a mental health program that provides support and resources for managing stress while cultivating a work environment that encourages a healthy work-life balance.

Company transformation using the simplified methodology of Itzhak Adizes (2019)

By adopting the Itzhak Adizes methodology, a pragmatic approach to organizational development, we experienced a significant internal transformation that streamlined processes, enhanced teamwork, and fostered a more adaptable business structure.

Launch of a separate IoT project from Keenethics (2020)

In 2020, we took a significant step by launching a dedicated Internet of Things (IoT) project. This initiative enabled the company to delve into new technological realms, creating connected solutions built on its established software development expertise.

Organized a Project Management Office (PMO)

We have always been committed to budgets, timelines, and quality; however, the launch of our project management office (PMO) has elevated our execution to the next level, bringing even greater precision, efficiency, and impact to our work.

Secured the first enterprise manufacturing project from a Global2000 company

We took a significant step forward by securing its first enterprise-level project from a Global2000 company in the manufacturing sector. This milestone demonstrated Keenethics’ ability to handle complex, large-scale projects for major corporations.

Implemented a Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and created a team distribution strategy

We developed and implemented a Business Continuity Plan (BCP) to ensure the company remained operational in response to global uncertainties. This included a refined team distribution strategy for greater flexibility and resilience.

Co-organized the Lviv Defense Cluster

We actively participated in national security by co-organizing the Lviv Defense Cluster, an initiative to enhance regional defense capabilities. The company contributed its technological expertise, helping to bolster critical infrastructure and drive innovation forward.

Completed the 100th project

Keenethics completed its 100th project, a significant milestone that solidified its reputation as a reliable and experienced software development partner.

Deepened Expertise Through European Conferences

Successful products require more than code. So, our team broadened its expertise by attending significant European conferences and engaging with the global product management community. By understanding product best practices, we help clients create software that meets market demands, maximizes user value, and fosters sustainable growth.

Applied a product-based approach to the business ideas of clients
